I'm an IT operations and cloud engineer from Norway, working daily with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure and automation — and increasingly with AI, building secure Azure OpenAI solutions that make support and operations smarter.
Hi, I'm Jan Tommy Gustavsen Zonneveld, an IT operations specialist and cloud enthusiast from Norway. I work in IKT Agder with Microsoft 365 platforms and user support for several municipalities. These days a large part of my time goes into building AI solutions on Azure OpenAI — retrieval-augmented generation with Azure AI Search, security trimming through Entra ID groups, and infrastructure managed end-to-end with Terraform.
I have a higher vocational degree in IT operations (120 ECTS, level 5.2) with top grades (A) in all programming subjects, PowerShell automation, Linux, Microsoft 365 and ethical hacking. I care about doing AI right: grounded answers with source citations, evaluation sets and red-teaming before production, and governance and privacy before technology — especially in the public sector.
Over the years I have also worked as a teacher assistant in Infrastructure as Code, fiber technician, PC/mobile repair technician and B2B advisor. This gives me a strong practical understanding, good communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical topics in a simple way.
